John Harbaugh: “Lamar Jackson’s our quarterback goinng forward. There’s no question about that.” But Harbaugh says he’ll be in Flacco’s corner wherever he goes.
(Part 1) Ravens QB Joe Flacco said he was not frustrated about not replacing rookie Lamar Jackson in the second half because he was not expected to play. “We made the decision what was going to happen here weeks ago," he said.
(Part 3) Flacco refused to say whether he could have made a difference in the second half. “You can’t even go there," he said. "I thought Lamar did a great job of just hanging in there and giving us a chance at the end.”
(Part 4) Flacco said his first worry was his teammates. "As a backup, really you’re just ready to be called on," he said. "You want to see your guys play well. So the fact that we weren’t playing maybe the way we wanted to, I just felt for the guys on the team."
(Part 5) Asked if he has considered his future plans, Flacco replied, “I have no idea, man. It’s really not up to me. We’ll see what happens.” Asked if he wants to be a starter, he replied, “There’s no doubt about it.”
I don't ever believe the Ravens gave much consideration to subbing QB Joe Flacco for Lamar Jackson. I think the owner wanted the rookie to play and it was going to be that way unless there was major injury to Jackson.
