Defensive coordinator Don Martindale, another target of Rivers' broadsides, said he doesn't mind the jousting. "It’s hard to go back and forth with him when he doesn’t cuss," he said. "‘Dadgumit.’ I mean, ‘Ooh, Phil, you got me there.’ But I love the guy. I love the competitor.”
Ravens DC Wink Martindale got into it a little bit in Week 16 with Philip Rivers. He laughed it off today. "It’s hard to go back and forth with him when he doesn’t cuss. ‘Dadgumit.’ I mean, ‘Ooh, Phil, you got me there.’ ” bsun.md/2Rvju2n (via @EdwardLeeSun )
Only 11 Ravens remain from the franchise's last time in the playoffs. Anthony Levine Sr. "used to think the playoffs was a given. We’re the Ravens, we’re going to get in." His advice now? "I would just say cherish it." bsun.md/2QnvZbN (via @ChildsWalker )
.@JHU_Football 's Anthony Davidson on how @CoachMargraff absolved him of blame for a poor snap in a two-point loss to Susquehanna: “I was not in a good place after that game, and the way he reeled me in and just made it so human, it’s something I couldn’t thank him enough for.”
Joe Flacco's advice to Lamar Jackson? “The bottom line is, they’re all football games, and obviously there’s going to be a little bit different intensity to it. But at some point, the game settles in and becomes a football game." bsun.md/2RultEc
WR Chris Moore (shoulder/hip) is listed as questionable in the #Ravens final injury report, along with G Alex Lewis (shoulder) and CB Tavon Young (groin). Bigger news is probably that Chargers LB Jatavis Brown is out and NT Brandon Mebane is doubtful.
If you're late to the postseason party, here's your "Ravens for Dummies." The first thing to know: Joe Flacco doesn't play anymore. The second thing: the Chargers don't play in San Diego anymore. bsun.md/2GWpOfn
In his three bowl games at Louisville, Lamar Jackson was 1-2 and went 35-for-84 (41.7 percent) for 551 yards passing, four touchdowns and four interceptions. He also had a career-high 226 yards rushing in his first bowl game, a Music City Bowl win over Texas A&M in 2015.
#Ravens inactives: CB Tavon Young, QB Robert Griffin III, DT Zach Sieler, G Alex Lewis, WR Jordan Lasley, LB Tim Williams, DL/FB Patrick Ricard. Young is the big loss against a deep set of Chargers receivers. We’ll probably see a lot of Brandon Carr inside.
