Baltimore City trash, recycling collection suspended for Wednesday
The Department of Public Works has suspended trash and recycling pickup for Wednesday.
The department will assess whether trucks can resume Thursday with trash and recycling pickup, DPW said in a news release.
Street sweeping and bulk trash collection have been suspended for the rest of the week.
If needed, residents can drop off trash and recycling at one of the following DPW locations:
5030 Reisterstown Road
2840 Sisson Street
701 Reedbird Avenue
6101 Bowleys Lane
6100 Quarantine Road
Baltimore City government offices to open at 10 a.m. Wednesday
Government offices in Baltimore City will open at 10 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake announced.
Liberal leave will be in effect for non-essential employees on both days, according to a news release. Non-essential employees will be required to use accumulated vacation, personal leave, compensatory time or authorized leave without pay to cover any leave.
