On the march
The Rev. Heber Brown of Pleasant Hope Baptist Church, stood in the bed of a red pickup truck adorned with white "JUSTICE 4 FREDDIE" banners, leading chants with a microphone as the truck crawled amid hundreds marching in the street from the West Baltimore police station -- where Freddie Gray was taken after his arrest -- to Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
Before they marched, Bill Bleich, 65, of the Progressive Labor Party told the group that a man in a truck had threatened to run over protesters Friday night. As he recounted the story, Bleich held up a small Confederate flag.
"This was on his antenna," he said. "It's not there anymore."
Protesters promptly lit it on fire.
